Montravias D. King is the Founder & Managing Partner of Reimagined Energy Strategies. 

Montravias, a proud son of rural eastern North Carolina, is a non-profit management executive with a proven track record in operations, grant management, consulting, and public-private partnerships. His experience includes serving as a former elected official and legislative aid to state house and senate members of the North Carolina General Assembly.

King's most recently served as the inaugural Director of the Justice40 Accelerator at the Partnership for Southern Equity, where he secured and managed grant funding to support environmental justice organizations nationwide. His extensive experience as the Clean Energy Campaigns Director at the North Carolina League of Conservation Voters, advocating for the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act and working on environmental and energy issues with rural mayors across Eastern NC at the intersections of economic development, equity, and environmental justice, is a testament to his expertise in climate and clean energy investments.

King is a member of the Southeastern Wind Coalition's board of directors and previously served on the NC Taskforce for Offshore Wind Economic Strategies, Subcommittee on Outreach and Engagement, and the Elizabeth City/Pasquotank County Boys & Girls Club Board. 

King's mission is not just a professional goal but a deeply rooted personal passion. His unwavering commitment is to ensure that disinvested communities, especially rural communities that are often energy-burdened and in environmental sacrifice zones, can unlock, navigate, and leverage the benefits of the historic influx of climate and clean energy investments during this energy transition.

He aims to help these communities reimagine a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable world, a mission that drives his work and underscores his commitment to the energy transition and sustainability.
